I remember going to Raveloe fibers in Niagara Falls to an evening spin where I was given a spindle and some white merino to try my hand at spindling for the first time ever! The photo below is the spindle I started with. Our property ended where the fenceline is, we were on a 1 acre lot. This is a photo of the starter flock, in our postage stamp back yard. We had a fawn ram, I can't remember his name. Our starter flock consisted of four ewes - Myrtle was grey, Marigold was black, Petunia was Moorit and Daisy was white. I had spun on a drop spindle for about 6 months before I got my Rose, using wool from our starter flock of shetland sheep we acquired in August of 2008. Meanwhile, aggressive animals are easier to guide into traps (they usually attack directly towards you). Since many weak animals will run away from you, the easiest catching method is to pin them against a wall or river, then guide them towards a placed trap. This is done by acquiring the Trapping Licence for 500 Permit Points. In addition to keeping a number of friendly animals in your town, it’s also possible to capture wildlife for a profit. Since this is counted as a vehicle rather than a typical animal, you don’t have to feed or protect the tamed Mu afterwards. This turns a Mu into an Emu Mount, which can be used to traverse the world. Mu Saddles can also be found in mine chests, allowing you to tame a docile Mu (the ones with the lighter feathers). Diggos don’t produce anything, though they are able to fight back unlike farm animals. The first are Diggos, which can be tamed with an Animal Collar found in chests in the mines.
There are two other animals that you can acquire, with one technically not being counted as an animal by the game. However, separating each animal type can make it easier to collect their produce. Different animal types can mingle with no issue, so having everything in one pen works fine.

By increasing friendship, animals can be sold for more, and will produce more expensive items like Large Chicken Eggs from Chooks.Īdditionally, while farm animals can technically be free to roam, they’ll quickly be killed without some sort of enclosure. Other members of the town will occasionally do this step for you as well. Petting each animal daily will also help to increase their friendship level, though this is optional. Animal Food can either be bought from Irwin, or created via the Grain Mill - grass seeds and Corn will both work, with the latter producing greater amounts of feed. All animals require their respective buildings to live in, along with daily feed.
